In a clashing combination of Western organ whining and wall-of-sound attacks, Dead Friends turn groove-infused songs into whirling nightmares. Taking notes from garage rock and psychedelic icons, the Edmonton four-piece finds a tone that’s polished yet raw, pushing with a visceral aggression without losing the layer of glam.

Squids
The bands artistic style draws from abstract song structure of 70’s fusion and progressive rock bands like Weather Report and King Crimson. Odd time signatures are blended with synthy melodic textures and vocal stylings reminiscent of Animal Collective.
