Better Living DJs

Better Living DJs is a dynamic duo consisting of Keith Walton and Kurtis Schultz, based in Edmonton, Alberta. Their passion for electronic music and desire to share it with others led to the formation of Better Living DJs in 2010. Since then, they have been tearing up dance floors across Western Canada with their high-energy sets and signature blend of house, techno, and disco.

In addition to their live performances, Better Living DJs are also respected producers, with several releases on labels such as Erase Records and Pocket Jacks Trax. Their tracks have been supported by notable DJs such as Mark Farina, DJ Dan, and Low Steppa. Their remix of “Superstylin'” by Groove Armada reached #2 on the Beatport charts and has become a staple in their sets.

Better Living DJs are known for their infectious energy and ability to read a crowd, always keeping the dance floor moving. Whether they’re playing at festivals, clubs, or private events, their focus is always on providing an unforgettable experience for their audience.

Maniacal laughter echoes the streets as the POWER OF EVIL summon their brand of metal once again. Their hybrid attack of black/thrash metal calls back to the days of old, ripping through the ears of unsuspecting victims. Truly one of Edmonton's gems that has been engulfed in the filth of the city.

REVELATOR

The curse has been cast, evil has been unleashed, and the cackles of witches can be heard as REVELATOR has been summoned. Necromantic black metal for the true fiends of the genre - no Norse minor chords to be found here, just pure riffs in the vein of the true classic European styles of black metal.

In 2022, Edmonton noise rock band Dual Nature released their debut full-length album, The End of History. The brooding, post-punk-inspired atmosphere that defined the album resonated with the isolation and bleakness of the early 2020s, capturing the spirit of the time.

On their follow-up EP, the band retains the sorrowful, doomsday feeling traversed on The End of History while drawing further inspiration from the relentless and raw brutality of noise rock acts such as The Jesus Lizard and Metz. Communicated via pummeling drums, piercing guitars, gritty, muscular bass, and manic, snarling vocals, the result is a violent synthesis of despair and rage.

To celebrate and compliment this new release, the show will also feature the weirdo punk of Wax Duplex, the grungy, unhinged rock of Bad Ham, and the melancholic alternative of Dot Cardigan.

Raised in the promise land of techno - Detroit/Windsor - the Lebanese-born Silomondo Nahal traversed borders and chartered his DJ career to Alberta. Cutting his teeth in the mid-2000s in Edmonton, Seelo instantly found his first residency at Y Afterhours, the city's only late-night destination of its kind. Since then Seelo has become a fixture of Alberta's prosperous above ground and underground electronic music movement.
